Default Hood Alignment Gap

I am adjusting my stock hood's alignment. It was skewed to the passenger side when I bought the car in November.

The gap was, and still is equal on each side but it is ~ 50% greater on the front. Is this normal?

I looked at photos and most S2000's seem to have a bigger gap at the front of the hood where the rubber seal is. Is this normal? The Factory Service Manual Does not give specs.

I have a feeling if the gap is made equal all around, the front of the hood would sit too high and on top of the front rubber seal.

Can any experts chime in?

Here is a pic of a big front gap:

Well, you can perfect it by loosening up the latch bolts just a tad, and 'forcing' the hood to shift sideways a bit.

Yes it is, and he films the 'roid action!
