Thumbs up I need help with my top install

I have been installing my top over the past 11 months (yes I am lazy), and I can't remember where this goes. It's right by the door and there is one on each side. You'll see what I'm talking about when you see the pics.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

They get held to the frame by a screw, then a plate with 2 holes in it buts up against them.

Basically they need to be folded inward and attached to the frame.

Hello,
I see you installed your own top. How was the install? Im debating whether or not to do my own install as well. Im very mechanically inclined and feel I could do this with no problem.
Whats your thought?

spot on!!

it will align with the "L" bracket and get screwed into that folding area in the car.

depends what your installing - robbins vs ezon vs oem?

ap1 top?
ap2 for the ap1 top?
ap2 top?

i dont mean this in a rude way - but being mechanically inclined wont help in this area. unless you have installed softtops before.

it took me roughly 16 hours over a span of 3 days to finish mine. it came out perfect and im so glad i did the install myself.

it takes the average first time installer 13-16 hours.

it is VERY tedious and espically with taking out the interior and then getting the old top off. not to mention to not lose any of the screws you use in the process.

i would recommend anyone to try it themselves - u just need to have patience and of course - it helps A LOT with someone who is expierenced or at least with the combonations of the DIY installation on here and the instructions that come with either top.

lemme know if you ever have questions - just installed mine
