Default Ice on my car!

Freaked out when I found my car covered with about half an inch of rock solid ice this morning. Is this going to damage my paint in anyway or is there something I should be concerned about? I plan on not even touching it until the sun melts it away, what else should I do?

Does SA never get ice? Even over here in Houston we get it from time to time.

Nope we hardly ever get ice here. I mean well get some ice on the roads when it gets real cold but I don't think I've ever seen ice like this on a car in my 4 years living here

LOLLLL.

Dude, ice is just water that's frozen, it's not going to damage your paint.

Don't touch it until the sun melts it away.

Down here in Dallas, my car was out during the ridiculous ice storm. A good solid 1-2 inches of ice and 2 inches of snow formed all over my car. When it melted away, nothing happened.

As fernando. said, it's really just frozen water.

How do you think we cope with it here during our winter in Canada? We all still drive around, it's not a big deal.

I was scared to pull my door handle in fear of it breaking off as one big icicle.

cold plastic doesn't take kindly to this weather. just don't force anything and you should be fine. if you're concerned, try your hairdryer to warm the door handles and rubber seals. just be careful you don't melt the rubber.

no worries.

You'll be fine. But do not try to pour hot water on the ice. You'd be suprised how many times I've heard people say they did this and crack their windshields.
