insurnce and vandelized top
Went out to go to work, put the top down as soon as i hopped in. got back from work, put the top up and noticed light shinning where it doesnt normally shine when the top is up. look up to the right, looks like someone literally put their fist through my top.
monday night and last night were the ONLY nights my car is has ever been parked outside of the garage since i am replacing some things on my wife's car which is IN the garage.
so, what have your experiences been with this matter?

very interested to here how it goes, my top has recently been stolen and only 1 seat(driver side) had been stolen. havnt called insurance yet because i do not want to end up having them total it, my cars a 2000 with 49,xxx miles on it, any imput on what you think they would do?
I can tell you it is covered under your comprehensive coverage. They are writing me a check. Dont know how kuch for yet as the adjuster came out friday morning. I bought an oem honda softtop though regardless. Not putting any bs aftermarket top on an s2000, thats just dumb.
I will update the thread when i see how cheap they expect everything to be done for.

Nah, I'm j/k. Fraud is bad kids. Now I'm less worried about it, though. I've always been worried about insurance claiming vandalism like that was the result of "wear" or something.
i have state farm so they gave me top dollar for my stuff and the top was just about how much you got but it was the seats that costs alot. They would have totaled my car if they went to get me new seats so they researched how much seats were going for online and thats how they got their numbers. I was pleased with the outcome but it was a headache that i wish not to go through again.
