Default New soft top issues

I just recently replaced my soft top and now I can not get the top to close all of the way. I’ve sat it out in the sun for a while and had friends over to help me squeeze it together but it’s still about one or two inches short. Any ideas on what is causing this or what I can do to get it to close?

Did not the installer close the roof and ask you to keep it closed for a couple of days so it stretches into shape? But I'm guessing you're the installer?

What roof is it? Is this an MY2000 car? New roof include the glass window?

Dozens of Robbins Haartz roof installs noted here the part few months without this issue. Hopefully it's a simple fix. I think there are differences in the very early cars but I thought Robbins had that handled.

Some photos in the "not quite closed" may provide clues.
