Default "Nudging" the top

So my top closes pretty well. I need to hold the front down to get the pins to pop into the holes at the top of the windshield.

But once the top is up, I can press the switch again and the top "nudges" up by like 1/16" or 1/8" of an inch. I can see the interior mechanical components move slightly as well as the windshield flex forward just ever so much.

Is this dangerous? I don't plan on nudging it over and over. But it seems as though I could really mess things up if I did. Perhaps whatever switch that's supposed to cancel the motor after it's up isn't working?

It could just be age, things wear out. You have a my2000 right?

my O1 has a bit of work needed to close sometime i need to close the left side first to get the right side close enough to close. Age can effect it, but once its close you should be safe as long as the latch closes.
