So i bought my oem lip from ebay, as a present.
I took it to get painted and the shop didnt put any primer.

It started to chip like in two weeks.

I took it back, they put primer and bondo i think and repainted it. Looks nice but after two months now its already has bubble spots and some of it chipped on the bottom left corner.

So now im angry and got my money back. Does anyone have a.hookup on a good bodyshop to paint my lip over cause it looks nasty!!

Wow definetly go to a different body shop. I do better rattle can paint jobs than they do professionally. Also why the hell would they put bondo on your lip? Prepare for that to chip out if you hit anything.

I have got an APR lip coming for my ap2 front i'm getting, and my body shop is going to do it the right way for $100.

 

Make sure they not only prep. and prime before painting, but that they use an adhesion promoter.

 

I would like to know what they charged too. I have a mugen lip on my floor and I am shopping for painters currently.

 

Wel they charged me about 150. I got my money back they wanted to repaint it at no charge. I said hell no that i dont ever want them to touch my s or another s.

Now im looking for another body shop that will do a good job cause my lip is hideous

 

Don't OEM lips come painted?
