Default Painting the S....maybe

I really want to paint my S a different color

I mean i really like the New Formula Red but i feel like i am limiting my options on colors for the car like wheel color among other things so i want to go with something neutral or maybe even Electron Blue Pearl from the 99-2000 Si.

I have the money and the time to take it somewhere to get painted but i dont want the car painted a nice pretty new shiny blue and then have an old red engine bay...and i dont want to remove the engine to paint the car. i have time but not that much lol!

What should i do???!!!

Don't do it unless you do it right.

Exactly! Personal advice- I don't recommend doing this. Enjoy the car and enjoy the beautiful color.

Why would you want to paint your S2k the color of Civic??

Don't get me wrong, its a cool color for what it is but Audi, Porsche, and even Lexus have some pretty badass colors. If you are going to do this I'd suggest venturing out of the Honda colors and do something you don't see as often. Especially on an S... Just my 02.

It's just a color who cares if it came from a civic. I really like that color too.
Painting a car might devalue it so keep that in mind as well.

It's been overly used in the aftermarket paint industry. Just my opinion.. My thoughts are if you are paiting a car you are usually doing it change things up and be different unless you want to refresh your stock paint.

If I'm paying $3-4k + for a paint job I'm stepping outside the box here.. Another color close to that blue but with more flare to it is Daytona Blue Pearl from the 350z. I painted my old car rollbar/rims this color and the pearl pops way more than Electron Blue Pearl.

That's understandable but you made it sound like that since the color came from a civic that the color sucks.
