My soft top has a long tear on both the driver's side and passenger's side (around 4 inches on the driver's side). Is it necessary to replace the whole soft top to make it looks perfect? I dun wanna go with OEM because it is kinda expensive and I like the look of the Robbins one better. Is there any shop in Socal can do the replacement? Any advice would be greatly appreciated ~

 

Sup man, all the places I called (south OC to South LA) all quoted like 1000-1200 on labor so my roommate (ASE mechanic) and I did it. Neither of us had any experience doing soft tops before, it took us about 8 hours but it fits and looks perfect. I bought the robbins soft top with glass. If you and a friend are decent wrenches you can probably handle it. If you want we could do it for 900 if you have the top. Or if it is a clean cut you can get a large patch (look for the sk2 facebook groups like s2000 marketplace and a bunch of people there have patches) and seal it from the inside so it looks clean.

He advertises on Craigslist San Diego. He did good work and looks great. No problems. Comes with warranty from Robbins. I think it was done in about 5 hours. He's done a lot of S2000s as wells as other convertibles. He also does upholstery, but I haven't used him for that.

Also originally mine had a plastic window, new one is glass and SO much better!
