Default RHD Conversion

Ok, so just bought a 03 ap1 for super ridiculous low price. 125,xxx miles, strong motor, trans, diff, Clean car over all except for the front subframe. It got smack in the front so body shop definitely need to reweld new sub frame piece up front by the core support. Not to scary as it sounds. Body shop guarantee it would drive like new no problem. It is definitely repairable. Body shop said I would save a lot of money if I can find a s2 that was hit from the side or rear to use the front end to weld to my sub frame. I thought since we are going to this extent of reweld subframe, thought I buy a right hand drive jdm s2k front clip. Would you recommend this conversion? How much? Any place out here in the state of California selling in Stock rhd clips? What all.do I need to convert? Just the entire front clip from jdm s2k clip? Thanks in advance.

Just off the top of my head, you'll need a new dash, new door panels, new firewall, wiring for battery relocation, new brake and clutch lines, wiring for everything to be swapped to the other side of the car, and new steering rack. I'm sure there's tons of other little pieces that I didn't list. But for the most part, it's a huge project.

Weasel, with all do respect the I am buying half of a japan s2000 whole front clip. Comes complete suspension, dash, pedals, carpet windows center console etc. The whole front of car welds on my usdm S. I think all I need left is doors due to the fact tht my usdm doors won't work with jdm front clip. Also just found out I'm gonna need the jdm engine harness and jdm ecu to re do the mobilizer. I hope CHP (California highway patrol) don't blue tag me

The car will never ride like new. Once a car goes thru that much damage it is not the same. The body shop can tell you all they want. Also what is the fascination with RHD? because its JDM Yo?

Nope, never wanted to destroy my 700rwhp S with a rhd conversion. I own two s2ks I simply wanna go right hand drive cause my front end is gonna need to be replaced on my wrecked S. Second I never seen a rhd S. Most people can't afford the rhd conversion so of course I am gonna get haters. I'll post pics when it's complete just to rub it in.

It's a lot of work and as stated above you need a lot of parts, most of which do not usually come with a front clip there for you have to get it from Japan.

Test fit with firewall and dash in. I'm now getting that all cleaned up, welded in and painted.

I just finished mine recently and it's a bigger job than previously noted, don't forget door lock actuators and window regulators all with door harnesses, and you need the complete car harness from headlights to tail lights to make it complete.also fuel door latch and hood latch ,I'm sure I'm forgetting something or another in
