Rust proof on a rusted frame?
I was cleaning my engine bay to get rid of what seemed to be rust proofing (which I think it still is) but from the undercarriage, it looks like a previous owner drove on salty roads with it. So is this a result of a frame that was beginning to rust and then sprayed with a some sort of rust-proofing substance? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
PS I don't think I have a bent frame, I've had no alignment issues since I've drive it. It is also straight as an arrow after the black rust proofing.
