It may be dependent upon the thickness of the film, e.g. 40 mil is too thick and won't let the heat escape from the housing resulting in the lenses eventually cracking. Rick's sells SpeedFilm which is 9 mil.

The film is a cheaper way to go I agree but the headlight protectors is a much more nicer way to do so but flashy I like the protectors it add character to the look of the headlights and this coolness to it.everyone has there opp can't wait till i get my protectors .

AusDm, EuDM and JDM all came out standard with the headlight washers.
