While my wife was pulling out her car off the driveway, she smashed driver side fender / bumper real hard. Front bumper is gone of course, plastic under cover is gone, side fender is bent and cracked.
Since it was not safe to drive as is, I took pictures and sent to body shop for estimate repair, $4000 estimated.
Of course we are under same policy and the bodyshop is as same network within insurance company. Agent said since $500 deductible, if repair cost more than that, they will cover it of course. Not only front but fender frame is lifted a bit as well, small scratches on headlight.
But my question is that is reasonable repair estimates?
No chance they will total it?
I am a bit worry that they will dramatically raise my insurance later, because I have to fix mr wife's damage too.
Reasonable estimate? Why do you care? Your "estimate" is no more than $500, that's why you chose an insurance company, bought insurance and chose a deductible. My insurance company (USAA) normally picks a body shop for me but I can select one if I want. Who picked this shop?
