Default soft top operating slow

so my soft top is operating slower then when i got my s2000. the soft top doesn't go completely down and goes up slow. is the issue usually only the tension straps? or is the motor needing replacing?

I would check straps first, then motor. Usually straps are the common cause as to why the top won't close fully.

ya that's what I was thinking. I'm going to try that first. Hopefully it's just that. I would hate to take this whole thing apart.

i replaced the straps recently. it still is operating slow. i think its because the motors are dying slowly. does anyone know how i am able to access the motors to replace them? I've seen some diys on replacing the whole soft top but i feel like i can access the motors without removing everything.

I have also replaced the straps recently and since then, every once in a while, the top is closing very slowly.
Did you solve the problem yet?
