Default Stock Body Kit Removal?

Hi all- this is my first post here, as I believe I am very close to pulling the trigger on a used s2k. The s2k I'm looking at is currently owned by a friend who has offered me a very good deal. The s2k in question is an '05 with 27,000 miles on it. My friend wants to sell the car "as-is," but there are a few issues I would be compelled to address as soon as I bought it. One of these issues regards damage on the stock body kit. Specifically, the front lip is badly cracked and would need to be replaced or removed. One of the side strakes is also damaged and had to be removed because of some issue with it rubbing against the wheel (driver's explanation)? So my question is now whether it is possible to just remove the body kit without causing any aesthetic damage? Or would there be visible bolt holes or something left behind? It appears that it would cost me about $700 to fix the bumper/ side strake and I'm not sure it's worth that to me.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading!

front lip can be removed without any problems, the side strake usually requires a hole to be drilled to be mounted securely
