Default TE37 17" sizes and offset question!

Hey guys I have been looking around and I can never find an exact answer to how I want to run my s2k so I'm posting this in hopes that I can get some help. I have a 2003 Ap1, street use, daily driver, oem fenders, stock suspension. I want to lower it a inch or so, don't want it too low. But I want to put some TE37's or SSR type F or Cr-s on there. i want to run the same setup as oem ap2 wheel size and tires. I did some research and found that these (according to all these threads online) are the specs for stock ap2 (plz forgive me if I am wrong)

215/45/17 & 17x7.0 +55 offset (front)
225/40/17 & 17x8.5 +65 offset (rear)

I don't want to alter anything on the S and I would like to have the s2000 for the most part, drive the same way to do now. Snappy, and quick. My current setup is as follows

205/55/16 & stock ap1 rims
215/50/16 & stock ap1 rims

What would be the best size for the TE37's that you guys would recommend? And also what tire sizes would you guys run? I'm not too experienced with tires sizes. I apologize. But also when I was looking for the rims, I noticed that Volk didn't have the

17x7.0

They only had 17x7.5.

And I don't even know where to begin on trying to find the +55 and +65 offsets! I want to run them staggered. Plz help guys anything would be great appreciated!!! Thanks!

Sounds like you are wanting a set of TE37s with conservative offsets:

Front 17x7.5 +48 215/45 or 225/45
Rear 17x8.5 +50 255/40

This guy is selling a set...

Ok cool! Quick question though, if I was to go with more negative offsets for the kinda dish look in the back and a tad bit more negative in the front, would that make a much bigger difference in the responsiveness in cornering with the oversteer and the snappiness? Because I was thinking bout a look like this, but with TE37's. is that safe?

Like this

Or this

Where the back has just a tag bit more negative offset than the front. Any suggestions?

to get the aggressive look you can not do it without modifying a lot ,...the car can handle the same but its also gonna have wide fender.
The white car is running 17x9 +22 offset, that will stick out past the fender on a stock s2000. That size is also the first size to get the aggressive face, part of the reason I want new fenders front and rear

And before you ask about what suspension to lower your car with - I recommend you going with a full coilover setup, not OEM struts with lowering springs.

They have standard (safe) S2000 Volk offset (Tirerack sell them)
17x7.5 +50 with 225/45
17x9 +63 with 255/40 you can run those tires without rolling your fenders
If you want anything flush with full tires is around +45 with minor roll.. anything lower you need wider fenders or roll/pull job
