Default Touch up paint

All, I have a few chips in my hardtop that have gone right through the paint all the way to frp. Where is the best place to get touch up paint? Do I have to go online or do local auto stores have it in stock? Or should I go to the dealer? Also, please advice on what the best process is? I think I am going to forego doing any wetsanding. I think strictly get some sort of polish/compound. Please advise on the best polish/compound to buy. I am going to be doing this all by hand. No porter cable. Thanks!

Tons of options to choose from and it all really depends on your preference, ability and how difficult it will be to match your existing paint. After using Dr. Colorchip I wouldn't use anything else but YMMV.

Which kit did you buy? I see they have a couple different levels...Anybody else have any luck with Dr. Colorchip? Seems like a simple process...

Wow, I just checked out their website and it does actually look really amazing. I'm going to leave it book marked in case I want to use it in the future...


Too bad the only area on my car that I need to touch up the paint on also has a small dent/ding that needs to be pulled out

Anyone have experience with this kit and RYP color matching? Is it any better than the OEM touchups (which are garbage imo)

And how do you guys prep the surface before applying the paint? Simple dish soap and water? rubbing alcohol? Thx!
