Default Touch up tutorial....Where?

I posted this early yesterday in "paint and body" but got no bites.
I don't need a cyber-beating just some help.

I've got some parking door scratches and gotta touch them up.
I remember reading a excellent tutorial on thinning down the paint and taking
several days to gently fix them perfectly. I have searched and searched but
cannot locate, help would be much appreciated.

Thanks. guys.
S2echo. sub forums is where I searched and posted prior to asking here.

Croc. Yes sir, I remember reading what I'd call a highly detailed way to
touch up scratched paint to where it is perfect, in fact I printed it but
cannot find.

I believe the thread you are looking for is the "scary paint chip repair" thread with the infamous NFR hood touch-up:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/249...t-chip-repair/

P.S. A better way to search is using Google:
Search for "site:s2ki.com BLAH BLAH HERE" without the quotes. Much better than the in-site search engine in my opinion.

I had good results with ^^^ (after rolling my fenders) which were paint chips, so I was painting on the bare metal. I brushed in the same direction over the bare metal, it took about 3-4 coats in order to get the paint to match up correctly (on spa yellow even, was very surprised) allowing each coat to dry before painting the next coat. You'll need to clear coat the touch up paint otherwise it will fade to a color your not a fan of. I used some spray on clear coat, sprayed into a cup and used a brush to put on 2 layers (in the same direction as the other coats) of the clear coat, and it looks great! Can only tell its got touch up on it from about a foot away

Since the other thread found the thread, here it is:
https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/249...t-chip-repair/
Bookmarked for future use (tomorrow). I have to fill in some horrible door dings (and by door dings, I mean paint was literally scraped off my fender and door by some ahole).

here is another one I found a while back.

He tells you a way you can fix a paint chip either with PC or by hand.
