Winter Wheels Project
I bought a set of OEM AP1 wheels a few months ago for $100. They were in pretty nasty shape as you can see from the FS picks..

A few applications of aircraft remover, a few hundred passes with the wire wheel & 4 hours of wet sanding they were down to bare metal. Sorry forgot to take pics
Then paint & primer..
I used Rustoleum primer & Rustoleum Graphite Wheel Paint & Clear coat..

after 2 coats of clear...

I want to give them a few days to dry in my room before mounting the wintersports..
I will be doing something artistic with the centercaps, just waiting for autozone to get more wheel paint in on Sunday. In total I went through 3 cans of primer, 4 wheel paint & 3 clear.. Every stage got at least 3 - 4 coats. I think they came out alright for a rattle can job. We will see how well they hold up.
