Default Wrecked the S2k:(

Well, last night coming home it had just started raining and I went around a curve and lost control of her
The bad part is I've only had it about a week, this is my first RWD car and first time I've ever wrecked a car.
I did a 180 and slid into a small tree, I was going around ~30mph when I lost it.
How much do you all think it's going to cost to repair the car and this wouldn't be considered totaled would it?
I found a door for $180, $200 with seal. I may be able to fix the rocker panel, but if not I can buy a new one.
My friends dad works at a body shop and is going to come look at it tonight and see how much it would be.
My deductible is $500 so if it can be fixed for ~$1000 I'm just not going to file a claim

Repairing that rocker panel wont be cheap. If there is extensive damage behind it, then the car could very well be totaled.

It didn't really do any damage behind it, it just kind of rolled the part facing out, up under the car and pushed up a bit. I don't think it's going to be too bad. Fingers crossed though...

That sort of damage they would have to chop the side step part and weld a new one in (chopped from
Another s2000). Door needs to be replaced. Shouldn't cost too much.

Fix it out of pocket. Sell your skateboard and BMX bike or whatever. Leave your insurance out of this. Ask if you can work at your Dads friends body shop to help cover the costs. Source your own parts like you've already started to do.

I got side swiped on Easter and spun into a fence. Other car drove off. Hit and Run but I was covered with Uninsured Motorist. My body guy said the rocker plate wouldn't be that bad, he could weld a tab on it and stretch it back. my whole car is going to get painted and a new door for around 4k.
