Default Alignment Help

I have a MY03 S2000 running a non-staggered 17x9 +45 with 245/40 RE71r’s. Car is lowered on BC DS Series coilovers 12k front / 10k rear. Stock sway bars.

Car is used mostly for street and autocross driving with an occasional track day. I am new to these cars so would appreciate some input on what I should be looking to set my alignment specs to dial it in.

-3.0 camber all around.
5.5 to 6.5 degrees of caster (your preference based on "feel" may vary)
0 toe up front
1/8 total rear toe-in if you like a bit more rotation and turn-in, 3/16ths if you're more of a neutral "calm" driver

I assume the 1/8” total rear toe will make the car more tail happy?

Not necessarily. I find that too much toe-in makes the car less progressive and more snappy.

While the initial feeling of having a lot more toe-in will make the car feel stable, as the car approaches the limit I find that as you unload the suspension, the break away is snappier and less progressive if you have too much toe-in. The sweet spot for me is around 1/8th to 3/16th total (or 0.20 - 0.25 degrees). I prefer the quicker turn-in, bite, and predictability of less toe-in.

I have an AP2, so your results may vary since the AP1 has more dynamic toe characteristics with loading/unloading the suspension. The AP2 rear suspension geometry was revised to reduce AP1's more dynamic characteristics.
