I just swapped my rpf1's to some ap1 wheels with winter tires for the season change and took my car to firestone today to get it realigned to factory spec so i don't wear the snow tires out because my normal alignment is much more aggressive (-2 front, -2.5 rear). But after going to firestone today they put my front to -.5 with a proper amount of toe but the mechanic said that he could not bring my rear camber/toe back in.... he said that my camber/toe eccentrics(camber bolts) had been maxed out and that he could not adjust it anymore on either side and that i need to buy a a new set for each side on the rear.... Is there any truth to this or is this a load of bs and i should get my alignments at another firestone because i have never heard of a problem similar to this on the forum?

id say between 1-2 inches on my coilovers, but nothing extreme compared to many of the slammed cars you see on the forum so i would understand if he couldn't get it all the way to factory spec but i really can't imagine that i am so low that the tech couldn't get my rear under -2.5
it is possible that the eccentrics or the tabs are bent which wouldnt allow a full range of motion. I'd ask them to be a little more specific.. there is no such thing as eccentric bolts that allow for more adjustment. The holes are only slotted so much.

hmm okay, the mechanic was making it sound like the adjusters can only be used so much and then they no longer work which didnt really make sense to me, especially since my car only has 30k miles
two things going on, Rear tabs are bent which can be bent back and fixed or your rear camber bolts are frozen which then you will need to get them torched off and new lower control arms installed...I had to take the second route. :/

This is true. You either need an upper ball joint kit like the SPC and others than places the upper ball joint on a slider so you can adjust camber in or out another 3 degrees from wherever your at. Ive been using the SPC kit on my car for over a year to solve this problem. Or there are kits like the J's that add an adjustable tie rod to push or pull the bottom of the wheel in or out. The eccentrics max out when you slam the car due to the geometry of the suspension. Thats just the way it is, your mech is telling the truth.
