Default Another coilover thread...

Just got coilovers for my car and I have the coilovers measured and they are perfectly even with threads, total length, and preload. However, the car is not sitting at the same height on both sides. I have not aligned it yet, could this be the issue or is my problem common? I've only done springs, so I'm not very up on coilover problems.
They are Apexi Exv.

Thanks guys

how far off is it? if you just installed them then you need to drive on them a bit to let the springs settle. the sooner you get an alignment the better but be sure to decide on your final ride height first.

About a finger gap. They were used so the springs should settle easier and I've ran them about 100 miles so far.

yeah, shouldn't take that many miles for them to settle. is it just one wheel that's off? obviously double check that everything is installed correctly and sitting flush. honestly, with previous sets of coilovers i could never get all four wheels exactly the same. there was always one that would be a 1/4" off or something.

It's a common occurrence. The corner weights of the car are not equal.

One front wheel, then the opposite rear wheel. I've triple checked it, but I do plan on doing it again tonight before alignment tomorrow. I'm so meticulous with my car; probably too much.

Thanks for all the help! Good to know it is normal.

If you lowered the car, did you release the bushing preload with the chassis sitting at the new height? Think about how the control arm bushings twist as the suspension moves. If the control arm fasteners were last torqued with the chassis at the stock ride height, you'll need to loosen them and retorque them at the new static ride height.
