Default Anyone try Winmax? Can't Decide on Brake Pads

Whats up guys! So I am trying to decide on which brake pads will work best for me. I am currently looking at the Winmax pads (thinking between W2 and W3) sold at Go Tunning because they present different types of pads for different uses. For the most part I am pretty hard on my brakes because of Los Angeles area traffic. What I am looking for is a pad that will cover daily driving without too much noise and a reliable pad for the track and auto-x. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The w2 or w3 will work well on the street but you would probably want at least the w4 if you plan on going to a track. Check out Ferodo DS2500, Project Mu HC+ 800 or especially Endless MX72 or MXRS for that type of use as well. Let me know if I can help with anything.

I ran W2s this year and will be going for W4s next year, just want more bite. The W2s didn;t last too long either, put them on in March and just threw autozone pads on for the winter until the W4s go on.

I ran w4s on the track for a weekend and practically roasted them down to nothing. They felt great and the car braked hard but they didn't last. The track I was at calls for heavy braking in a few sections and it was in October, I personally would go for a w5 or higher. This was on Dunlop direzza z2s.

PM me if you're interested in different applications of the Winmax pads.

We have noticed the quick wear rates of the W4 as well and would recommend W5 for heavy track use. However, the jump from W4 to W5 is pretty substantial- W5 is very aggressive and requires sticky tires that are wider than stock but will last a lot longer than W4 on track. From our testing and feedback the Project Mu Club Racer is closest to the W5's friction levels and wear rates (and low price) but is a little less aggressive and much more street friendly if that matters to anyone

Haven't posted here in a while. I actually ended up going with the project mu HC+800 pads. I love them! Excellent on the track abs street if you for mind a little nouse and tons of brake dust. I also need to figure out why they squeak whenever i turn the wheel. I think i might have warped rotors from my last track day. I'll look in to it

I'm stuck between two choices of pads. PMU and Winmax. I'm planning to track once every couple months, but I touge/daily my car. What's people's experience with either? Also what type of brake fluid is everyone running? I was going to use ATE Blue/TYP 200 but I'm also looking at Motul RBF600.

dv55xc are you going to use the oem fluid?

Hey Matt! How you doing man?

I'm currently running W2/3 for my daily/autox duties and swapping over to PMU CR's for track use. System flushed with ATE Typ200 b/c its WAY cheaper than the RBF600.
