Default Automatic Brake Fluid Bleeder

I tired a search in this forum for "automatic brake fluid bleeder" and got "No results found for 'automatic brake fluid bleeder'. I find the search function on this site not too user friendly for me.

After learning how to do and help with a brake fluid flush at one of our local tech days this past weekend, I inquired about doing it by myself, if a second person isn't available to assist. I was told "you get what you pay for" and good ones are expensive.

I found this product and wonder if it would be helpful:
Automatic Brake Bleeder

Can anyone recommend a good quality automatic brake fluid bleeder system for me so that I can do my own brake fluid flush?

Thanks.

I haven't tried that one but I have tried a few and nothing beats another person IMHO.

overly comprehensive video but it's pretty good for noobs. Motive power bleeder looks to be pretty good for a fair amount. The main reason I've never bought one of these power bleeders is that I wouldn't feel good about the 2nd time around and wasting fluid to cleanse the dirty system that has been sitting around for 1-2 years

+1 for a friend

from their website I'm not sure which one to use for Honda as they don't specifically have one for Honda listed

I use the Motive powerbleeder myself. Works like a charm. Very quick and reliable.

The universal one. You need to use the J-hooks & chains to tighten up against the reservoir.

I dont think many people use any power bleeders because it is a lot of money to spend on something that can be done for free essentially. I have used the hand pump bleeders that attaches to the bleed nipples before, and it was okay. I certainly prefer using two people to bleed brakes as opposed to using a machine. I like to feel what is going on and do it myself. As you can attest, its very easy to learn how to do it. I taught my fiance how to do it and what to feel for and we just did her Accord brakes a few weeks ago and the pedal feels great.

Realistically you dont need to bleed your brakes that frequently so it shouldnt be hard to get someone to help you at one of our two annual tech meets. Its probably also not hard to get help while at the track.

Back to your question though, yes the automatic or even the hand help pumps do work. I believe Robert HWY88 has a bleeder that hooks up to his air compressor and he loves it.

I think the most time consuming part of bleeding brakes is jacking the car up and taking the wheels off. The actual bleed takes not time at all and I have bleed brakes thousands of times on my cars and the race cars I used to work on. In racing we actually use 3 people to bleed brakes to go faster (since each caliper has and inside and outside bleeder).
