Default BC Racing BR coilover default settings

i just picked up secondhand set and looking to reset the coilovers.
whats the default distance between the pillowball upper mount and the first locknut for front and rear springs?

i'm not sure if these are 10k or 12k if that makes any difference.

thanks

By first locknut, you mean the spring perch (the collar on which the spring rests)? If so, just make sure the spring is snug between the upper mount and spring perch, so that there's no gap at full droop but you can still turn the spring by hand.

i'm not too sure on the terminolgy but i just wanted to know how far should the spring stretch?
the rear springs are currently 18cm , whilst the front is 21cm.

I think your coilovers look similar to these. The spring perch I'm referring to is what is circled in "H1" - the larger ring at the top is the spring perch, the one below it is typically referred to as the locknut (H2 being the second locknut to secure the lower mount in position).

You can just leave the springs at their fully extended free length. Compressing them prior to install (pre-load) is not generally needed when you have independent adjustments for ride height and spring position.
