Default Best option

I have a set of work emotion cr kai's that i putting onto my s2k but am going from 16" to 17".....

The problem i have is that i dont want the 4x4 look ill get when i mount the wheels so i just wondering what my best option is for bringing it back down without really affecting the handling

I am running stock suspension but will be rolling the arches to fit the wheels...

Wheel specs are 17 x 8 +47 and 17 x 9 +45

Tyre specs are 225/45 R17 and 255/40 R17

how much money are you willing to spend? do you want lowering springs or coilovers?

if you want something that wont effect the handling i suggest the pss9 which people say can be set to ride as smooth as oem. this is just from what i have read

Why do you think you will get the 4x4 look. As long as you keep the same diameter tire it will not affect ride height at all. I went from oem 16's to 17's and had no such issue... in fact, i had some friends swear I lowered the car when i hadn't... (granted now my car is lowered for Autox but it wasn't at the time)

I've ordered Swift's sports springs but haven't installed them yet. There is an "official springs thread" on this topic. Cost is something like $200 plus or minus. You might find springs as cheap as $100.

Most people who use springs to get much over a 1" drop see their stock shocks die a very early death. You can replace them with Koni yellow shocks (or any others for that matter), but with the cost of those plus springs you're pretty much in it for the price of coilovers.

From forum reviews, PSS9s are a great coilover option at a little over a grand. KWV3s are another, but they cost still more.
