Default Building a suspension system

Noob question, but I'm tossing back and forth between lumping up the dough on a coilover suspension I will never really adjust vs a koni yellow + swift spec r setup.

Main point:
1. I want it to be an on and off swap, meaning: I want to have a complete strut/shock/spring assembly in place before installation.
So, What OEM parts will I need?
a. Shock/strut mounts (top hats)
b. Spring perches?
c. Washers, bolts, misc. hardware?

2. I'd like to do some autox and trackdays, plus make my bi-annual trips to the Dragon. I feel that the koni/swift setup would be a great way to increase handling capabilities without knocking my fillings out. The car is not daily driven, but my primary concern is getting the most out of my suspension for my money. I am not planning on upgrading sway bars, bushings, running a non-staggered tire setup, nor x-braces.

Thoughts and opinions welcome

I have had the Tein MonoFlex's and the Fortune Auto 500/510's in mind, but the more I think about it, the more I assume I am paying for name/adjustability. Sure 10k/f/r would be nice, but I would be satisfied with the swift spec r's rates of 7.5/7 f/r

Thanks

Doing some quick figuring on this:

Shocks $702.00 http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/S...7&autoModClar= Koni Yellows
Springs $315.00 http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/Me...de=SWIFT_SPECR Swift Spec Rs
Strut mounts $176.00 http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...7&autoModClar= KYB strut mounts and bushings

Total: $1193

Again...I don't want to...under any cirumstances, have to reuse any OE parts that are already on my car. I want my OE suspension completely intact after install. Only things I want to reuse are the top nuts and the base flange bolts.

I am concerned with the rear perches as most of the pics I am seeing do not have the rear perches shown.

Will I need bumpstops?
Rubber seats?
Dust covers?

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...SHOCK+ABSORBER

OEM parts replacement, I'm looking at $148.30, full front strut mount assemblies with bump stops w/ no seats, rears are pretty much the same price...so call it $300 for all OEM mounting hardware.

But idk if I need all of that to build a complete set.

ok...so added everything I could possibly think of and got this:

51631-S2A-004 RUBBER, SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING $21.01 $168.08
90364-SG0-004 NUT, SELF-LOCK (10MM) (NYLON) (SHOWA) $0.65 $2.60
51728-SR0-003 COLLAR, SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING (DUFFY STEEL PARTS) $0.55 $2.20
52676-S2A-014 SEAL, RR. SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING $4.29 $8.58
51675-SR0-004 BASE, SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING (SHOWA) $15.74 $62.96
51686-SR0-003 RUBBER, FR. SPRING MOUNTING (YUSA) $3.35 $13.40
51685-S2A-004 PLATE, DUST COVER $3.31 $13.24
51687-S2A-004 COVER, DUST $7.91 $31.64
51688-S2A-004 END, DUST COVER $8.24 $32.96
51689-S2A-004 PLATE, BUMP STOP $5.12 $20.48
52722-S2A-004 RUBBER, RR. BUMP STOP $8.72 $34.88
52748-SM4-014 RUBBER, SPRING SEAT (SHOWA) $6.85 $27.40
Shipping Information
Shipping Method:

Subtotal $418.42
*Sales Tax: $0.00
**Shipping Charge $27.88
Handling Charge $4.95
Total $451.25
Total then would be $1468 with springs and konis...worst case scenario.

buy kw clubsports- they come with monoball uppers

to be serious for a moment, what you're essentially describing is similar to the ground control setup:

GC coilovers for S2000

The cost is roughly the same as well. GCs are a quality setup that's ideal for new performance drivers.

I told myself I'd never buy GCs again after having them on my Celica

Srsly, I've looked at those, I have shied away since I dont want to go over 1.25" drop if I can help it and the drop is not advertised.

The konis should come with the washers, if you want a set of perches and the rubber seat things I have a spare set for cheap

Then you just need tophats and a set of bumpstops if you want them don't need the dust things

if you don't wanna re-use your OEM ones yea, The konis should come with little metal collars that sit on the split rings that allow you to mount the OEM ones
The shocks come with some big washers too

You can drill the stock tophats (which realy sucks)... If I was you I would buy a busted set of OEM shocks for $150 and canibalise them for parts.
I have some perches off a set if you want I used the tophats for GC setup

With the price of the swift springs I would look at just going with a GC setup wouldn't be much more
