Differences in suspension
Is there any difference in any of the s2000 models from 99 right through.....
I have front struts off an 05 and am just wondering if they are the same as on 03... Any help appriciated.... |
According to the Offical Springs Thread, here are the spring rates for the various model years:
OEM Spring rates by year (front/rear) MY00-01 = 218/291 MY02-03 = 240/230 MY04-07 = 256/207 MY08-UP = 274/225 MY08 CR = 375/264 |
Any difference in ther dampers..????
|
I'm sure the dampers have been changed along with the spring rates but I can't find any info on it. it would make sense.
The difference between 240 and 256 is pretty small so I wouldn't worry about it. |
Aside from spring rates, sway bar sizes and alignment, were any of the actual geometry changed throughout the years? By actual geometry, i mean control arm lengths, wider track etc.
|
The rear geometry on the AP2 was changed to minimize the bumpsteer. as far as I know the front geometry stayed the same.

Managed to get a second hand damper so all good so far....Fingers crossed.....
Think it came out of my99 but seems to do the job at present.... |
Good info here but springs alone don't do the trick. Honda made changes in the sway bars every time they change the springs. Let me see if I can find the info. If you looking to replace your springs with from a newer s2k ( or from a new to old that depends of your taste) you should do it with the sway bars to have a good balance
