Default Do I need new Shocks?

Have had my 2002 S2000 since March. Has about 78k on it.

How do I know when I need new shocks? The main annoyance is that it bounces up and down violently over some types of highway pavement.

Thanks.

look at the shocks from under...check the ground..if there are leaks..then its blown.

also.bounce the corner of each shock..if it bounces like crazy and doesnt settle quick enough..its blown..

2 ways to check if theyre blown.

maybe those highway pavements are just like that.

You most likely need new shocks. I didn't realize how bad mine were until I replaced them with Bilstein Pss coilovers. Like night and day.
