Default Front Caliper Locked Up?

Yesterday I had the wheels off for the first time in a while to paint my calipers and I noticed that the front driver side brake pad was extremely low, like almost completely gone. I quickly checked all other pads on the car and noticed they had plenty of life left. This concerned me, but then I noticed with the calipers on and parking brake off that the front driver side rotor was very hard to turn while the passenger side spun freely. Almost like that one caliper was slightly locked up. I thought this was weird since I haven't noticed any weird noises or any effect on performance. Now I am really concerned. Can anyone chime in and tell me whether I need a new caliper? Thanks.

Regrease your caliper pins, there's a DIY for the rears but the fronts are for the most part the same.

Turns out it wasn't the caliper pins, it was the main piston. It somehow got jammed and wouldn't fully retract so there was always pressure on the rotor (causing a lot of heat and wear on the pads). I ordered a rebuilt caliper so I should be good to go.

That usually happens from lack bleeding/flushing the brakes. That sucks

Yeah, I am the 3rd owner of the car. I've had it or 10k miles and the car has 142k so there's no telling when's the last time it was done. I did full fluid change when I got it but somehow forgot about the brakes. I'll be doing a full flush when I install the caliper next week. Thanks for your help.

You're welcome, the brakes and clutch fluid are often overlooked by many

You're welcome

I just ordered it from Autozone. It was the same price at all the parts stores (~$75) but they had the lowest core charge. The Honda dealership wanted $140 for a rebuilt one and $600 ( ) for a new one.
