Default Function And Form Coilovers Questions

Ok for starters, I DID read all the posters pertaining to the Function and Form Coilovers, and they don't tell me crap.

Ok, so i'm looking to lower my car, and as a college kid, coilovers are not exactly the cheapest thing on earth, but i have a bit of cash. I was looking into F&F coilovers, shown here:
http://www.weaksauceparts.com/store/produc...cat=2600&page=1
I have several friends with these coilovers on their cars (97 Integra, 96 Civic, and a 200? prelude) they all speak very highly of them, and the ride from what i can tell is quite nice and stiff. so heres my questions:

Are they worth the money for them?
Anyone got experience or have them, do they work well?
I like the stiff drive, and ive seen alot of people say they are very stiff, anyone know for an s2000?

basicaly none of my friends know crap bout s2000's and im only one that could afford one... so thanks for any info!

hey man, i don't have AS much info either, but i do know that honda sculpted a wonderful and prime handling piece of rolling artwork known as the S2000.

they made the car in such a way that would be hard to enhance with just any aftermarket part. the suspension geometry of the S2000 is one of the best, just ask around. By altering the car's height, you also alter the geometry. Sometimes for better, other times for worse. this is a vehicle that is hard and often times expensive to improve upon.

i say, hold on to your funds until you can expand your options.

so to answer your question no, i don't know jack s**t about the F&F c.o's sorry

Set of Megan or Buddy Club Ns are a favorite "cheap money" alternative to TEIN, APEXi, Koni, etc...

I have a set of Megan Tracks and the ride is nice and I have the extra functionality of changing the damping.

Function and Forms have that aswell from what ive read, and its been my experience with my previous cars that 90% of the "cheaper" versions are just as good (if not better since my wallet isnt as light as it would be with the expensive stuff). I've seen an s2000 dyno'd with 1000$+ exhausts and skunk2 still holds on with em, and better than some... just my opinion... i see a few people with the FF coilovers... just wish one of em would post lol

guess not, i think im just going to get the Function and Form Type 2.5... what springs rates are good for an ap1?
8,10, or 12k? some say 10k from 12k rear... but then im seeing people say thats trash? whats good for a decently stiff ride, i dont want to be slamming my wheels into my car if i tap a bump... but also be safe for the struts?

I am here to help you out ha....I have the FandF type 2s on my car and have had them on there for a couple of months....for a cheap set of coilovers these are pretty good....they are 2 way adjustable, they do have a pretty stiff ride but they arent' to bad. I have them set pretty stiff though. About the only complaint I have about them is that the front can be slammed but the rear not so much. I have 245/45/17 in the rear and still have a little gap left with the coilover dropped all the way. I am planning on buying better ones pretty soon just because I am prolly going to start trackin my car but if you daily drive and don't live in a place with really bad roads like I do and dont want to go to low in the back unless that is just some kind of default on my car then they are good coilovers
