What application are you going to be using the car in? Track, autox, street? Are you planning on any more mods that would change the weight of the vehicle? Do you carry a passenger a lot while you're on track or autoxing?

just me and no extra weight in mods in the future if any significant weight gets added or reduced i would go get it rebalanced. i do the occasional autox but its mostly going to be for hpde events and twisties.

300 dollars is what i got quoted for alignment and corner balance. just wondering if theres a cost benefit to the 300. im extremely satisfied with how she handels currently.

There is a decent benefit to getting the car corner balanced. If you like how the car handles now, youll really like how it handles after a corner balance (assuming the corner balance if off by a lot right now - it may not be).

Your average performance alignment is around $100, so $300 isn't too bad considering the time that goes into a good corner balance. If you will do it for free, see if they can at least scale your car out so you know what the cross weights are and then make a determination if you need the corner balance or not.

From what ive read it seems that corner balancing is a second order effect and is one of those things to do after you have gotten your driving style down and are looking for that extra 0.05 or so of a second. Some arent even able to tell a difference even after a balance and it is pretty much implied that as long as you set your right to left coilovers at the same height that you will be good enough. 300$ will buy more seat time and is a good chunk of change towards better tires which will net a much greater improvement.

I know this is an old thread but I'm curious to more people's thoughts, opinions, and experience with having their car's corner balanced.
I've been quoted $200 for the alignment and another $200 for corner balancing.
I mostly street drive my car on mountian roads with an occasional autocross. I have some added weight from the turbo kit and supporting modification.
I also have a number of bracing parts such as Cusco sub/ladder frame and Opak strut bar.

Is it worth the extra couple hundred bucks?

I doubt you'll miss $200 if you plan on keeping the car a while...if its something that interests you enough to make a thread.

It should last for a few years, as long as you keep the car at the same height and don't add/remove any extra weight somewhere.

My thoughts on it: I don't think its worth it for a street car. I do track my car. Idk. Its quick. I'm sure it could be 0.1 second faster.

I don't have mine corner balanced. I could do it myself fo free. But...likely won't.

$400 is a bit steep, specifically the $200 for an alignment. I paid $300 for corner balance and alignment ($175 for corner balance and 125 for alignment).

I actually ended up buying a set of scales and roll off levelers so I could do my car and do it for others too. It's way easier and less time consuming than doing a string alignment. If you're in the NE Oklahoma area hit me up. That said, I didn't really notice any difference after it was done. My car with the way I set up my coilovers was very close to being corner balanced to begin with.
