Default Help with brake change

Is it possible to do a brake job without turning the car on? Right now all of my injectors are out of the car, I am getting them back Friday. Is it possible to change my brake pads while the car is down? I'm asking because I noticed that the system gets pressurized if the car is not running and I pump the brakes.

Brakes still function manually without the car running, you should be able to do any necessary work without starting the car.

Do a gravity bleed. There is no reason to pump the brakes.
