Default KW Suspension Installed Wrong?

KW v3 System installed by a respected shop.

Should the bottom spring be fully compressed like that (see picture)? The actual technician who installed them told me he adjusted the ride height but the compression/rebound were not adjustable (that's when I got nervous).

Car drives well on the street, haven't hit the track yet so cant really tell. There is a very persistent "click" from the passenger side rear.

sounds like he has no idea what he installed. haha

The compression and rebound are absolutely adjustable. The adjustment points are at the top and bottom of the coilover.

Yes that bottom spring is the helper spring. It is supposed to be compressed like that. When the suspension unloads around a corner the spring will do its work.

if i were you i'd check all the bolts for the suspension on the passenger rear just to be sure everything is tight.

The click from the rear could be a loose swaybar endlink.

I'm experiencing this same noise and narrowed it down to that conclusion.

I used to get a couple noises from my V3s when they were new. It seemed that the hard plastic dust covers would hit the shock body, causing a click/clunk. It eventually went away. I guess it got worn down enough to where it didn't make contact anymore.

well, there's no way to tell if the helper spring is adjusted correctly unless you have the wheel off and in the air.

if it's binded with an unloaded suspension, then it's not even doing it's job.

Yeah, if it's compressed while the suspension is in full droop, then you have the KWs possibly adjusted past the higher recommended limit. This will also start to preload the main spring.
