Need help for Alignment specs
Quick question on Alignments:
I’m getting an alignment done today and am not sure what specs would be best for AutoX. I’m running an AP1 with stock everything, except 17x9 Enkei PF01s with 255/40/17 RE71s. My daily tires are a set of AP2v1 wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
Any suggestions? First time I’ll be getting an alignment done since I bought the Enkeis. Thanks for any help.

If you are autoxing I highly recommend a big front bar. Karcepts is great and provides one hand adjustment. Gendron is good as well as a couple of others. Dont bother with most of the "Typical" aftermarket ones like whiteline as they are not going to have the stiffness you want.
Also keep in mind that if you are autoxing anywhere that follows SCCA rules and classing, you will be in STR with those wheels and tires. For street class, you cannot go that wide, which is one of the reasons the AP1 had a harder time in street classes vs the AP2.
Stock ride height you likely wont have issues with those wheels and tires with fenders, but if you lower at all you are going to want to roll the front tabs at least. Rears are typically fine. But, I am going by the +63mm offset of other wheels. Cant remember, but I thought the PF01 was +55? In any case pay close attention to how close the fender tabs are. If they catch a tire, it destroys the fender in some cases. Another reason to dial in all the camber you can. While yours is an inch higher than mine, I am on 800/600 spring rates so less compression of the suspension under load. And I have had one case where my tire barely caught the front fender when hitting a big bump under hard cornering load on course. Made a small ripple in the lip but luckilly nothing more.
All of the camber. Zero toe up front and maybe a slight amount of toe in the rear (toe in) to help with the toe out under rebound. 0 to 0.1 degrees of toe in the rear. I cannot remember how much camber I was able to get with stock ride height (I only ran mine stock for part of a season) but it wont be enough or too much :P Mine is maxed out on stock adjuster with it lowered 1" and I only get about 2.6 degrees. 3 would be better on my setup.

What did you do for castor on the front? Looks like most of the STR builds are running a lot of it
Thanks for the help, a front sway bar is definitely my next mod for this car. I’d do the full STR build if I could afford it, but this car is my daily driver and I’ve got a couple other projects at home. I just wanted to be able to run with some stickier and wider tires than my Michelins. My PF01s are +60 if I remember correctly.

Understood on the build. Focus on having fun and improving your driving. You can always build later and will know better what you want to do after autoxing it a bit.
