Thumbs up Need help with suspension

I'm pretty new to the whole mods and stuff. But reading the stickies I get the feeling that you can't just throw lowering springs on our cars without some pretty extreme consequences...

I want to lower my car but what's a good combination for the cheapest price? My S is my daily and I don't want to trade too much ride quality to achieve my desired height, which is not too lower but low enough to clear speed bumps at a low speed vice angling every bump, dip, driveway with the slightest incline.

Thanks in advance!

I'd say save some cash and get a set of decent coilovers. Yes, you can spend $200+/- for a set of lowering springs but in the end you will want some sort of dampening and ride height adjust-ability. You can get a get a set of Megan coilovers or around $850 new.

Hmmm... I thought about that but I heard that a comfortable ride is sacrificed with coilovers. Is that true?

They are springs and dampers.

Depends on the coilovers. KWs ride better than stock.

Mate just buy some second shorter springs and drop them in like I did.

Your handling will go from 100/100 to say 80/100 you really won't notice much of a difference unless you're throwing your car around corners at stupid speeds or driving it on the track.

I bought the Eichbach springs that lowered the car 1.5inches and it looks 10 times hotter now.

Are you using OEM Shocks?
