Default New Coilovers

I am finally ready to replace my set up from a previous owner to coilovers. Currently my 01 s2k has some aftermarket springs on it and it rides like a truck. Im looking for a 1 to 2 inch drop over stock and still have a comfortable ride (i cant take hitting a bump and feeling like my ass is going to go through the bottom of the seat). My budget is under 1k, i dont race and my car is not my dd. I just want a good stance and something that is very streetable with comfort. Any help would be appreciated. At this point leaning towards Fortune auto 500 series, but there at the high end of my budget for sure.

I have the fortune auto 500's and I'm glad I spent a lil extra on them.

I love the ride, and I have the ability to go softer if I choose to which is nice but I think I would have to raise it a bit so I won't scrape. I would highly recommend getting some front roll center adjusters and camber kits front and rear. If you get it all done at the same time along with an alignment you will be very happy. I'm at 18 clicks front and 16 clicks rear, it's a bit firm on the street with low speed compression but on the highway it's really nice. Post your pics and driving thoughts once you get them installed. If there is anything you need help with just ask and I will try and do my best to answer.

I just looked up your profile and noticed that you have an 01, I swapped out my rear sway for an 09 CR and it made a huge difference. '00-'01 front sway is almost identical to the one in the CR so going with the rear made sense to me.

18 clicks from full stiff in the front, and 16 from full stiff in the rear? So you are running them stiffer in the rear?

They come set full soft from factory so 18 clicks from soft towards hard in front and 16 clicks in rear. Front set a little stiffer.

To correctly set them, you need to go from full stiff and count coutnerclockwise back to soft. There is no full soft, you can keep spinning them but they don't recommend you go 40 clicks from full stiff. I spoke to Terry at Fortune himself about this.
