I don't think the spring rates changed in 06-07, they just added VSA and a few extra braces to the chassis. Someone can check the part numbers to be sure.

OEM:
00-01 Fr: 218(3.9) - Rr: 291(5.2)
02-03 Fr: 240(4.3) - Rr: 230(4.1)*
04-07 Fr: 256(4.57) - Rr: 207(3.7)*
08-up Fr: 274(4.89) - Rr: 225(4.0)*
08CR Fr: 375(6.7) - Rr: 264(4.71)*

*Estimates based on published % changes from Honda.

The Bilstein PSS9 is a full coilover......this is about springs.
Still, the spring rate for the PSS9 is relevant if you are comparing differences in brands of springs available for the S2000. It's interesting to see where the PSS9 rates fall against the other OEM and aftermarket springs.

The spring on the PSS9 acts on the suspension in the same manner as any of the others mentioned. The stock shocks are the same coilover design, the PSS9 simply has the extra features of adjustable damping and adjustable height. The helper springs (in general) are designed to keep the main spring in place under full suspension droop and are (usually) fully compressed when the car is resting on the ground, essentially becoming a solid spacer in normal operation.

Interesting thread. Nice work

Where are you getting your numbers? I've been digging through Honda Website articles but all they give is % changes from the previous model years. I've done the math to verify, but if the starting spring rate is not correct (04-07 or example) then the rest of the numbers that follow will be off too.

I can't find it now but Honda published the original S2000 specs somewhere, a JDM sales brochure or something like that. Then they published that the 2002 cars had 10% stiffer front springs and 20% softer rear springs.

All the drop/lowering numbers that I've compiled have come from the manufacturers website so as to eliminate any subjective opinions.

You can trust those numbers.

Also remember that if you choose Koni's to replace the OEM struts, you have two choices for perches.....OEM height or an additional .5" so you can combine a drop from a spring and an additional .5" if thats what you want.
