Default Pitted Axle OK TO DRIVE?

Hi all, I am a new 2000 S2ki owner. When I picked up the car it was shaking a bit in the rear on acceleration. I figured it was nothing. Now I know it is the pitting of the rear axles. It shakes and makes noise when i press the gas pedal. IS IT OK FOR ME TO DRIVE ON THIS FOR A WHILE UNTIL I CAN GET NEW AXLES?

do you mean pitted cv cups? i think that is what you mean, is the car lowered or at stock height? if it is lowered this can be a very easy fix without needing to buy new axles. there is a diy on swapping the axle cv cups. i had a bad vibration after loweing my s and did this and it completely went away.

You could simply swap buckets and it's free. Just like new axels since wearing will be on the untouched surface.

You could just buy new axles if you have money.

DO NOT buy axle spacers!! Waste of money if you ask me. Do it right the first time. Just swap the left with right.

Ok i understand the swapping now...so it technically fixes both sides. I was more so wondering if its ok to just leave it for a while.
But I guess I can do the swap next week. its free. Can I do it without removing the axles?

My S is not lowered. But it is an AP1 so its pretty lowered already.

Swap the cups; it fixed my same exact problem. I would put money on it. You will have to take the axles out; might take 2-3 hours. There is a great DIY on here somewhere.
