Question about spring installation
Short Story: I installed swift spec-rs about a month or so ago and I noticed on one of the fronts that I compressed the spring too much.
Thus leading to tightening the top nut way further than I needed too. Now my car is ever so slightly lop sided.
Long Story: Same as above, but I did the same to one of my rear struts and already fixed it as it was creaking over bumps. Thus it got me wondering about my fronts
Now the question should I just take apart the whole strut and redo it the "proper" way, or do I need a new spring/bumpstomps as I compressed them too much?

Sounds odd, because there is a steel spacer between the nut and the dust cover. Look at this pic http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps74e3da56.jpg. There's no way you can tighten the nut beyond the spacer.
When a car sits lopsided, it's usually because the control arms weren't retightened at static height. The twisted rubber bushings try to lift the car up a bit.

I haven't done springs since my last car, but can't you just unbolt it from the strut tower and re torque both sides? Shouldn't even need to jack up the car either (essentially re-preloading it).
The reason I say this is the "ghetto" way I installed springs without a spring compressor once was to bolt the top hat to the body first, then with the shock/spring attached on the bottom, (somehow, i do remember a bit of cursing) get the piston to feed through the hole in the top hat up to through the hood. then tighten/preload/etc.
Anyway, not 100% sure, as I'm tired, ready to get off work, and hungry.
