Quick brake line question

Default Quick brake line question

If your brake lines have the outter rubber layer cracked is a big deal or is is it more of a protector/insulator., its actually on my explorer i do want to change them soon i just want to know if i should not be driving it,,,

Seriously? Replace ASAP.

Where the outer housing has cracked leaves you with two problems with the actual brake line: (1) exposure to the elements; and (2) more flex. Both of which will decrease the time between now and failure.

It's good that you noticed it.
