Should I switch back to Hawks?
EDIT - I meant StopTech not Hawks, someone edit please.
In a sort of limbo period before I was able to replace my rear rotors, I ran Brembo fronts with Stoptech Street Performance Pads and kept the older Honda rotors and pads on the back. My braking was a little skiddish because the front were obviously working better. I didn't like how the brakes were dusting and when I replaced my rears (Honda OEM) this past weekend, I switched to Autozone's ceramic pads all around. Between the stoptechs only on the front, and older worn brakes on the back and brand new Gold cmax pads balanced out, I highly prefer the former. But they were dusting so much I had thoughts that I shouldn't be running semi race pads all the time. Is the pedal feel and braking distance supposed to be so different between the two setups, or did I do something wrong? Are there any major drawbacks running stoptech pads for daily driving or in the winter besides the dusting? I already have brand new stoptech rears, so this won't cost me a dime to try, just the time to replace them. Thanks.
