Default Some suspension questions

1. I took my s2000 into a shop to get the suspension raised and I have a very strong feeling the guy lowered it some more instead.. lol
(scroll down for picture) let me know if I'm wrong...

2. Could my tie rod need some tightening? my steering feels a little loose or not as direct as it should be....
(see picture 2)

Your photos don't tell us anything. In the last photo, it seems like maybe he raised it up. You can see a line on the threads of where the perch might have been before.

Thread the spring perches UPward if you want to raise the car.

The car must be aligned after you change ride height.

Why do you think he lowered it? Have you measured?

just search how to adjust coilovers and get a tape measure and have at it. I am confused by a bunch of your pictures, why are you trying to show us so much of the shock body?

Raising the car isn't going to change how harsh the ride feels.

You can't tighten up tie rods to take out slack in the steering. They are simple ball and sockets. If there is looseness in the tie rod, that ball and socket have become worn, and need to be replaced. The only adjustment is the tie rod length can be altered as part of alignment. That doesn't affect slack in any way.

If you have steering slack, something is worn.

Raising a car can definitely help with harshness.

Springs are soft. Bumpstops are not.

Lol. Correct...there isn't. The PSS9 (B16) is adjustable for damping. B14's are just height adjustable.

Did you buy the car with them already installed?

Raise the car a bit and have it aligned. This suspension should not ride harshly when properly set up.

What kind of tires are on there, and what is their condition? And does it have the stock wheels?
