Default SS brake line decision

From work I have the option of getting Stoptech or Russell SS brake lines from work. Is there any real difference between the two or should I just pick the most cost effective option since they both seem to have a good reputation?

go with one that has OEM mounting bracket for brake line... makes it nice n easy... I know SOS lines have it.. im sure other brands do too... just look in to that...

I had goodridge on my ap2 and the fit was generic. Bought SOS lines on a recommendation and the fit is perfect. SOS ftw.

Do SS brakes really make a significant difference compared to OEM lines?

I ended up getting the Russell lines and they did help with the feel on the brake pedal.

They do make a difference in feel. However, more importantly, you should replace the stock lines with SS lines as a safety precaution. Old OEM brake lines are known to rupture on track. Losing all braking power coming down a straight at full speed and into a turn is a bad scenario.

^^This. I have seen brake line failures at the track before in person and it almost never ends well (only once did the guy keep it out of the wall). I have also heard of other stories that ended worse than just a totaled car If the lines on your car are older than 5 years or so PLEASE CHANGE THEM, especially if your car is seeing a lot of track time. For me it's a safety thing that also has some performance benefits to go along with it. I have been using Stoptech lines as they are inexpensive, readily available and very high quality but will likely try the Endless lines next as I feel they have the best design of anything available today. I wouldn't hesitate to use any of the other popular options either (Challenge, SOS or Goodridge specifically).

No problem with the challenge lines here. They have attachment points for all the OEM spots so install is nice and clean.

We've had great experience with the Stoptech lines on several customer cars. We've also had success with technafit lines.
