Default are stock AP1 shocks rebuildable?

While changing out my race rubber at the track awhile ago I noticed a light seepage/film of oil on my shock bodies, one on the front and one rear. When I bounce the corners they do not respond any differently than before (fairly stiff) and ride quality is as good as always(stock). They are 10 years old but only have 40k on them, is this leaking common? Can they be rebuilt?

They are nice dampers but are not rebuildable, you can check the shaft for small nicks and if there is then you can sand them down with fine sandpaper so the seals don't get worse.
