Default StopTech BBK

Hi, I just bought and installed a StopTech big brake kit after getting tired of cracking rotors during track days with the ''oem'' setup (s/s lines, RBF660, HP+ pads, generic or Brembo rotors, cooling ducts).
My reference is a short, minute a lap, local racetrack where I lap my car on monday nights.
The track is hard on brakes, my ''oem'' setup would glow red rapidly and fade after +/- 15 minutes. Except with DTC-60 pads that did not fade but melted like butter...
Regardless of the pads, my rotor temperatures exceeded 500deg. after a cool down lap.
Yesterday I took my car out with the new StopTech bbk.
I NEVER felt fading. My tires squeeled from hard effective braking the whole 20 minute sessions. My temps where in the area of only 240deg. after a cool down lap. Pedal feel is tight. Brake balance is as good as it ever was keeping the stock rear brakes. WOW!
StopTech put the fun back in track days for me.
The best upgrade on my car yet.

Cool!

I have fitted these after similar experiences and have my first track day with them on Saturday. Seriously can't wait!

You'll love 'em.
I had to learn where to brake again, farther.
I lowered my best ever time at this track without pushing. Lap times are way more consistent.

Out of interest what pads are you running on your car? For track if have performance friction 06 compound for the stop techs and xp8 for the rear.

On the road bedding them ahead of the weekend they feel food so far, obviously not great from cold but with a little heat the stopping is silly good.

I'll stick the stop tech pads back on after the track day I reckon and standards rear pads.

I now run the StopTech pads front and HP+ rear, both street and track. Felt excellent yesterday.

But I might go HP+ front and DTC-30 rear for higher speed tracks.

The stoptech kits are extremely underrated, imo.

They sure are sexy too.

328 here as well. You need 18s for the even bigger kit.
