Default Which Suspension?

I tried to use the search bar first on both my computers, but it didn't work for some reason, so I'm sorry for posting something that has probably already been discussed. Anyway, I would like to know which coilover set up seems to work with the AP1 chassis best. I have used Megan racing on other cars with so-so results, been looking at Buddy Club N+ s\Spec or Racing Spec. How ever I have ZERO experience with this company. I will be doing mostly weekend driving, canyon carving, with a few track days here and there. Is there a better choice for what I plan on doing? How do the Buddy Clubs do?

Thanks, Taylor

Keep your OEM stuff until you can afford something nice.

Money won't really be an issue, I would like to spend some where in the $1500-$2000 range but can go up to 3.5k if needed. Any suggestions?

Search function is always broke.
General consensus is kwv3 are the best all around coilovers. Bilstien pss9 have good reviews too. I agree with realblag, buy quality the first time around.

I agree with doing things right as well. I've taken the short cut route before and in the end it was more expensive. This will probably be my last build until my kids are out of the house. ( I don't have kids yet, and getting married in a few months, so that will be some time away.) I will not be taking any short cuts with this, and no expense will be spared. This will be my play car for the next 10-20 years, so I want to do it right the first time around. So if KW 3's are the way to go with this chassis, then that's what I will be ordering.

Check out our article on the Ohlins DFVs..
  • Arguably the Highest Quality Shock in its price range
  • Aluminum Shock Bodies, reducing weight by 15+ lbs..
  • Tuned to work out of the box by Ohilns
  • Unique Valving/Damping above and beyond others..
  • 3rd Super High Speed Dual Flow Valve for big bump control
  • Temperature adjusted slow speed valve for consistent damping
  • More Compliant than OEM, yet numerous AutoXers setting FTDs with these

They simply control the car..
Numerous Great Reviews at the bottom of our link..

Well, I have been researching this suspension literally all day while home sick from work, and I am thoroughly impressed! I think I have found a winner for my set up and will gladly spend the 3k to get these! Thanks for informing me of this!

I had some tein's on my 08 Ralliart, I felt they didn't really suit my driving style while on track. I didn't mind them for street use though.
