Default Sway bar replacement...

My s2000 was damaged by a truck hitting it from the driverside front, not much damage was done, but the previous owner had it repaired, the swaybar was reshaped and "patched" by something that looks like tin foil with a layer of superglue. its hard as hell and it works... but for a "clean" engine bay, the ugly ass thing sticks out like a sore thumb. If i am buying a new part, i usualy go aftermarket because its cheaper & better in most cases... anyways:

What sway bars are good to replace it with? i want to do front and rears so they match up(if they need to?), i plan to supercharge down the road, and maybe a very small (.5 inch) drop with some coils so i can adjust the ride quality a bit. i was looking at whiteline, or maybe cr? inputs welcome

The CR is probably your best bet as far as pricing goes.
I'd say your second choice would be the Eibach bar or bars.

i figured if i got CR bars i would get the N+ coils, and set em to CR heights, then get an alignment to CR specs, and just be done with that for suspension... im not going to slam my car because i live in the country, id be scraping everywhere...

Anyone with sway bars wanna chime in?

FYI, '00-'01 front is same stiffness as CR, and available much cheaper.

Eibach rear rating is super-stiff (way too much IMHO); I'd stick with an OE rear bar -- AP1s and CR are stiffest, AP2 is somewhat softer.

Don't get a stiffer rear bar. Its not necessary.

Much cheaper? I thought a hundred bucks for the CR bar was already cheap. How much can the 00-01 bar be had for?

Agreed. Stiffer rear bar increases oversteer, which isn't necessary. Matching sway bars is pointless.

I'm really happy with my Saner front sway bar on the medium setting. It made the car as a whole feel a LOT more planted through turns. It really tames down the rear end quite a bit. As soon as you drive the car after installing it you notice a dramatic difference in the way the front end feels... it's truly confidence inspiring. I think with a very stiff front bar and good coilovers the limits of your handling will be dictated by your tires...

Which means you'll probably want to upgrade to even stickier, quicker wearing tires. It never ends

$50 tops, usually less.

Kinda sad how OE parts have been devalued, isn't it. I've picked up a couple different sets of (non-CR) OE springs for $20 per *set*. And don't get me started on AP1 rims...you can hardly give 'em away.

Anyway,
