The Type RS damper has the advantage over TEIN's RA and RE coilover system with its damping force adjustment feature. With separate compression and rebound adjustment (16 levels X 16 levels), this allows the driver to setup the suspension damping force to meet any track conditions.

Exclusive Designed Pillow Ball Upper Mounts for Optimized Performance

MonoTube Design for Maximum Performance

Full-Length Adjustment & Height Adjustment for Separate Setting of the Height and Spring Preload

16-Levels of Damping Force Adjustment (Compression & Rebound Together)

Extra Reserve Oil Tank for Larger Oil Capacity for Wishbone & Multi-Link Suspension

Inverted Shock Structure for More Horizontal Stability

Available for Overhaul

Found this off of a website

It's probably an older design as it is similar to the features of the SRC. It was probably supplanted by the SRC

I have been using these since 2008. I absolutely love them. I did step up to 12K up front though. They are an older coil over (Ap1) but i have zero complaints. Great on the street and track.
